Sleep Training: Day 5 cont.....
This has got to be the hardest thing i have ever done. It feels like Jackson has cried more this week than in his entire life! I know that's not true, but it certainly feels that way. And the crazy thing is that we aren't even letting him cry it out. Sometimes if we get frustrated we leave him for a few minutes, but we always go back as soon as possible to soothe him once more. Right now I am trying to not pick him up at all. I pat his bum and sing or shh to him and give him the soother or my finger to suck on. I leave the room once he's calm, but return when he starts to wail. I am hoping that he finds his way to soothe himself, but so far that hasn't happened. It's been 45 minutes of me soothing, leaving and coming back to soothe. I have heard these things take a long time, but sometiems I just don't have the strength to follow through! Last time when I returned to soothe him he clung to my arm...it was so sad. When he released my arm and calmed down, I left and now I am going back again. I hope he falls asleep soon!

oh boy ... he has you PEGGED! Poor guy is 'alone in the universe' grabbing your arm to keep you -- the only other being -- near... let him learn that it is okay to be alone! [he's no libra]
hahaha...yes he certainly isn't a libra! Last night and today he's done much better, no clinging on for dear life!
