New Food!

Today Jackson had his first bit of real food! I cooked up a sweet potato, then mashed it for him. He seemed to like it quite a bit. He only had a tiny bit as I didn't want to make him sick, so I froze most of it. It was great seeing his reaction to a new taste. In a few days I amy try carrots, to see how he likes those.

Last night we had a good time at the party, though were quite tired as we stayed out past 10pm! Shannon and Myles said that Jackson was great, though he woke up almost every hour after they put him to bed. Once we took over he got up quite a bit, so it was a rather bad night. His naps today have also not been the greatest. Though it's easy to put him down, he won't stay asleep for long. For all of his naps all we had to do was put him down, tuck him in and turn on his Ocean Wonders crib toy. It plays lullabys and has little lights that shine. Yuo can also set it to have the fish and other sea creatures move about, but for sleepy time the lights are good enough. We are trying to not pick him up unless he needs feeding, but at 5:30am he is not ready to eat, so we sometimes have to still rock him a bit. Today was supposed to be Cory's day, but he looked after Jack so I could have a nap! I think I'll be looking after Jackson for the rest of the day, so Cory can have his day off like I promised!
