The List

Lots has been happening with Jackson and with Cory's mom visiting I haven't had a lot of time to post, so here's everything:

1. On Friday night Jackson was sleeping horribly, he woke up at 1am and even after I fed him, was upset, so I swaddled him and rocked him to sleep, then he slept for 6 1/2 hours straight! We don't really want to start picking him up to settle him, so we are not going to do it again, but it was so nice to have that big chunck of sleep!

2. At Jackson's swimming lessons I was finally able to get in the water and it was so much fun!! We got to put a life jacket on Jack and go in the deep end of the pool! We had so much fun! Then it came time for the little guys to go down the mini slide. The volunteer (not the instructor) Tokk Jackson and put him down the slide at the very top then just let go of him!!! He fell back and hit his head and back on the edge of the slide before I caught him..... but he only cried for a few seconds, so it wasnt' really as bad as it sounds, though I am still rather annoyed about it. But all in all the swimming lessons were fun and I can't wait to go next time!

3. Jackson has been using the sign for milk to let us know when he is hungry, even if it's time for solid food. But yestertday during dinner, Jackson started doing the sign for "eating" which is using one hand to represent a bowl and the other to scoop food from it. So Jackson kind of did a sideways clapping thing at first, but then it developed into the proper sign! That was really amazing as it's a much more complicated sign than the one for milk! He's such a smart boy!!

4. Saturday night he slept well for the first part of the night, but at 3am Cory swaddled him and held him for a while........so tonight we have to really try not to do that! For the past few days Jackson has been having bad naps, so hopefully things go better today!


Alright I've got to go and make waffles now!!
