I have been fighting off a cold for the past couple of days. Luckily Jackson has been quite good during the day. He has been a bit better at night, however I'm still getting up around 3 times a night. Today I decided to get out of the house, but was feeling too groggy to drive. So I packed up Jack in the stroller and headed out for a little shopping trip. Originally I was going to get some wool for a new project I want to start, however I talked myself out of it as I have numerous unfinished projects in the basement! I decided to get Jackson some new clothes. We haven't really had to buy him any clothes as we got so many as hand-me-downs or as gifts, so it was fun to shop for him! I got him a Christmas outfit and a warm fuzzy bear sleeper. My favorite purchase was a cable knit brown sweater! It just looks so good on him with his dark hair and eyes! Quite a fetching little boy! On the way home from the store Jack got really cranky, so I tied on my carrier and loaded him in. After a bit of fussing he was fast asleep! I was able to zip my winter coat up around both of us, so he was extra cozy. I didn't want to jossle him around too much, so I walked slowly all the way home. He awoke after a few minutes at home. It felt so good to have him attached to me, soundly sleeping, like a little monkey! I am looking into some other carriers so Cory and I can wear him on our backs as well as front. I just love having him close. So all in all I had a rather good day! i even did a bit of online Christmas shopping!
