Settling In Nicely

Our house is slowly coming together, though also falling apart at the same time! We have organized the living room but there is still stuff everywhere else. The worst is the kitchen! Since I hurt my wrist. I haven't been doing dishes so they are piling up. Cory and I are joking that we should just wiat until we get our dishwasher! Cory went out and bought a new one on Friday and we'll have it in the house on Monday...... but it won't be useable until Cory does plumbing and electrical! We are doing a mini kitchen remodeling. We bought a used sink and faucet and the dishwasher I mentined before. We plan to put the dishwasher where the stove now is and putthe stove across from the fridge. This of course will be a lot of work, so it could be a while until we have our kitchen together! Today we bought a new washing machine as well!!! I am super excited about this! It is going to be delivered on Tuesday! Our old wahser broke, well it is unbalanced and will not work despite all that Cory has tried to do! It will wash the clothes, but not spin them properly so we decided just to break down and buy new. Our washer is a super capacity front loader!! Today my mom came down for a visit and brought us anothernew item that we purchased. We bought a little fold out couch for Jackson's room so we can now have guests stay at our house! It's a very mod looking brown couch and it's wonderful! Also today Cory, Jack and I went out for lunch with my mom, sister and her boyfriend. It's so nice being in the same city! Oh and I forgot that last night we had a friend over for a BBQ and some beers! Cory is out right now at a friends house and plans to meet up with some other friends for a game of golf tomorrow. None of them actually golf, so it will be interesting I am sure. I was going to go with friends to Swan Lake, but Jackson and I both have a cold, so we're just going to lay low. We must get baby gates tomorrow, little Jackson is determined to make a beeline for Betty's dog dishes in the laundry room, so we're going to block off the kitchen. He's so fast now, it's amazing! This past weeke Jackson, Betty and I spent a great deal of time outside. Jack has discovered grass, flowers and rocks. Of course the rocks are his favorite! As I look around the house I see so much that still needs to be done, but I am so tired and have wasted the ENTIRE evening poking around on FaceBook. It's horribly addictive! Anyways I am off to bed now, in hopes that a good night's rest awaits me! Jackson has been doing a bit better in that department. Some times I only feed him once in the night, though he still wakes up a few extra times!
