Finally Communication!!

Today we finally got our phone working and as I type, Cory is hooking up our internet and computer! It's a good thing he has this laptop from work otherwise I'd be totally lost. Anyways things are going well. We are loving our house and the neighborhood. It's so urban and bustling, though our street is very quiet. I've met many more neighbors, only one was unfriendly. Betty was in the yard this morning and she barked at the woman. As soon as I heard Betty bark I ran to call her in, but the woman was very upset, stating that she wasn't a dog person and this better not happen every morning! As she walked away she was still talking about how she had to deal with the last people's dogs who lived here blah , blah, blah..... Usually Betty isn't alone in the yard as she's been digging holes, so hopefully she doesn't further upset the woman. I have been slowly unpacking and Cory has been madly unpacking and doing odd jobs around the house. Yesterday I somehow injured my wrist and by the night time it brought me to tears just to wiggle my fingers. Cory had to settle Jackson and help me feed him. After a couple Ibprofins and a fitful night's sleep, my wrist was feeling a bit better, though I still could not lfit Jack. As we didn't have a phone, Cory had to call my Dad when he got to work. My Dad came over and took care of Jack while I went to the doctor and rested. We had a great time together talking and figuring out the garden-to-be. I am so happy that we are in Victoria, it was amazing to hang out with my Dad all day. And of course he was happy to be with jackson! Tomorrow we are going appliance shopping. We need a dishwasher and perhaps a new washing machine as ours suddenly broke the other day! Alright time to spend time wtih Cory now that Jackson is sleeping! Hopefully I'll have photos tomorrow!

It's so nice to have your family around like that. Mom and I kept saying 'wow, are we really just hanging out together?' for months after we moved to calgary.

We bought a stackable washer, but for now our dryer is fine, so we'll buy a stackable when needed! I told Cory to call you guys..... he's bad about the phone sometimes!
