Why?

So why is it that I want to start living a more simple life? I think that having Jackson has made me realize how much time we need to spend together as a family. As he gets older it will only be harder to have good quality time together. Not having t.v. is a big step in having more time to spend with eachother and also doing the things we like to do. I just can't imagine exposing Jack to all the ads on t.v. for useless toys and other stuff. I also want to stop consuming so much to cut down on garbage we create and all the environmental impacts during the making of various products. I used to care a lot more about where my stuff came from and how it was made. I used to boycott McDoland's (which I started again once I became pregnant), Wal-Mart, and many other companies. I used to only buy second hand clothes, not because I couldn't afford anything else, but because I knew I wasn't supporting child labour etc. It's time that I got back to those values that I let slide. I am pretty good about not driving too much. That of course is partially because I HATE driving, but also because I don't want to comsume a lot of fuel. I've only filled up my car two or three times since I started driving! I guess I want to pas on a world with a future for my kid(s) and grandkids. Alright time to get off the computer and spend some time with Cory (Jack's sleeping!).
