In the Beginning

In the beggining I had no time to think, let alone write! I've tried keeping a hand written journal and given up. Typing with one hand is easier than writing in a small book that doesn't stay open! For most of these entries I am sure Jackson will be in the other arm, either feeding or sleeping. Today Jackson is twelve weeks old and on September 19th, will be three months! I can't believe how fast and at times, slow, the time has passed! Jackson is starting to sleep a bit better throughout the day, though still usually in my arms. I sometimes wonder if I've made this whole parenting thing much harder for both Cory and I, by carrying Jackson around all day. At least he sleeps in his own bed at night! Right now it feels right to have him close by, and it makes him feel happy and secure! Sometimes Jack will sleep on his own during the day, but not often. As a result I've learned to do just about everything while holding him! I get much more done when Jackson is awake. He enjoys being in his crib, with his mobile and ocean wonders aquarium, and also loves his bouncy chair. Today I went out and got him a new chair that is ergonomically designed for his little spine. It's called a Bumbo chair and really helps him develop his core muscles so he can sit unassisted. Apparently it can be used as a high chair as well! I have been finding it hard to keep in contact with friends and sometimes family, so now people can read what Jackson and I have been up to on a daily basis!
