Back Home

So it's Thursday and we've been home since Monday. It's amazing how fast time flies!! We had a pretty good time in Calgary, though Jack's sleeping habits were interupted qute a bit. Some night he slept in the bed with me... ALL NIGHT! I've never had to do that before, but he just wouldn't sleep any other way. As a result he fed more than once in the night, so when we got home, we had to get his feeding schedule back on track. The night before last was the "bad" night of crying and whining to be fed and cuddled, but last night he slept very well and only fed once in the night. We had a lot of fun visiting all of our relatives, on Cory's side and mine! Now that we are back I am trying to get back to introducing new foods to Jackson. Yesterday he tried wheat for the first time. It's a bit nerve racking as I am starting to introduce the foods that more people are sensitive to such as wheat, eggs and dairy. I am plannng on making cupcakes for Jack's first birthday so it would be nice for him to have a little bite. It's going to be a bit hard to find a healthy recipe, so he might be having banana bread instead! He's almost ready to wlak on his own now. He holds one or both of our hands and wanders around the whole house. Last night I stood him up on his own and he took one tiny step on his own before crashing forward. So I can't really count it as "frist steps" but it'll be soon I am sure! Cory had a good time up at the lake with the boys and Betty. Poor Betty has a sprained tail now though, because of too much swimming! I'd never heard of anything like that before, but apparently labs are prone to it! Alright gotta run, Jackson is getting into stuff! Check out Photobucket site for all the Calgary photos!

We enjoyed having you! I saw some photos on facebook of Cory's weekend. It looks like he had fun. About a third of the work of your long weekend! You need a get-away like that soon!
