Washing Away the Day

We stayed at the beach all day, until the ocean started to wash away the shore we were sitting on. Cory spent most of the day with his friends skim boarding and Jack and I spent a lot of time looking in tide pools and wading in the ocean. We saw a lot of dead crabs and dead fish ...... jack politely knelt down beside each one and said "Hi Fishie", then "Nigh Nigh Fishie" when he realized they weren't going to be moving anytime soon! He held my hand and dragged me all over that beach today! We had some friends join us who have a daughter a year younger than Jackson. It was great to have other people out on the beach with wee ones! If it weren't or the sun burns and large accumulation of sand in our underwear, I'd spend every nice day at the beach! I do know we will be spending quite a few summer days digging holes in the sand and greeting the washed up animals from the sea! Cory has taught Jack to say "i want ....." and "don't like .....". I prefer he say "I'd like ....." instead of "i want ....." but that is too confusing right now! So "i want" it is! The communication is amazing and getting better everyday! Jack is also pretending a lot more now. Today he and Cory pretending to talk to various grandparents on cory's phone...... well cory's hand in the shape of a phone! it's was too cute! I love my little family!
